Charli
cool little "title"
Okay, so I grabbed your attention. Here is what I am offering, two days
free here at the hotel I work at in Santa Cruz, located directly across from the
main beach, one block from the Boardwalk and right across from the wharf.
What's the catch?
I want at the very least, 2 hours of your time. I got my DVX100B (big
whoop!) today and am going through the process of learning all of its cool features.
That's where you come in. Tell me (reader's digest version) of what works for
you and what doesn't in your experience handling this camera.
I don't need advice on lighting, directing, storytelling, etc. I just need advice on the
tech side of camera work: shutter speed, gamma, matrix, yadda yadda. Do's and
don'ts, as it were. Yes, yes, I can learn all of this on my own, but I can also learn
quicker from someone who knows. That's why I am offering a trade-out.
I also wouldn't mind getting advice on what products works for you (lens,
filters, tripods, etc.). To show you how into filmmaking I am, here is a list
of what I have purchased so far:
DVX100b
Shure fp-24
Okatava hyper
Rycote BBG (delivered next week)
Rycote Windjammer (delivered next week)
cables (from Matt)
What I know I'll buy:
Audio Technica 4073a
Rycote Softie
The rest I'm making a list. So, if you are still reading this and want to help a
girl out... go to this link (works best on Internet Explorer):
http://www.terracecourt.com
I can only offer this trade-out in May. We are sold out for the summer.
What do I need from you? A link of something you've filmed,
a film short, documentary, whatever, the link posted here, that way I know you
are proud of what you've accomplished.
I'm about to give away $400 worth of beach front hotel boarding. Two days
free with a late checkout on that third day.
Knowledge is power. Share it and you get a weekend free.
Post links.
