First clip: They're talking in norwegian.. there.. it's out.. now you know:P
This is the first time I've tried to shoot a dialog between two people... The sound sucks ass.. some of the clips are a bit long.. but It was really, and I mean really, fun to try this out.

(btw... shooting widescreen sucks.. the quality loss is just too big..4:3 ftw!)

Second clip:
Marius and Joachim walking in Tunsberg, where I live. Yeah..some really shaky footage, trying to get me a nice "walkam easy pro" steadicam soon..

(I may upload a bigger version of this later on..)

i just have to say one more thing..
I love the dvx colors!

Both looked great quality wise to me. Also i would like to know what your compression settings are for youtube. You seem to be able to get an acceptable type of compression, I have tried everything and every program to no avail.

Please help me out!

Wow, i just watched the first one, awesome job. Kinda to Dark in the intro on a couple shots, but nice camera work.

J.R. Hudson, you knew what I meant ;)

The composition and shooting style makes your dialogue sceen interesting. It's cool in widescreen.

Benjerama,

What I usually do for youtube (and I use Final Cut Pro), is this:

export MPEG 4

take 800,000 divided by the number of seconds in your video to get your kb/second amount.
EX. I have a video that is 2:30, or 150 seconds so I divide 800,000 by 150 to get 5333kb/sec. then subtract 128 for stereo audio and round the number down for good measure, and you have something like 5175kb/sec for your 150 second video.

Since 10:00 long and 100 MB are the limits for youtube, the goal is to get your video (whatever length) at 98 or 99 total MB. For a nine minute video, your video quality will not be as impressive as for a two minute video.

They both have a very nice to look to them, the last one with walking is very nostalgic and warming feeling, like going back in time. Very nice :)
And yeah, filming a scene with dialouge between two people over a table is very much fun. No stress and you get to enjoy wathcing and directing your actors. But then again, it's most fun when you have really talented actors who can improvise within limits and lift the scene. I feel that Norway can be a tough place to find good actors, but once you get them, it's awesome :)
I think you created a good mood for the scene with the intro, especially liked the tracking in on the lady sitting alone at the table, what did you use for that shot?
Good stuff, keep posting.

Thanks for the comments :)

As for the compression.. I use the smettli method.. Export first as Avi file with premiere or FCP (remember "no compression") Then get quicktime pro and use it to export your avi-file with h.264 compression.. or something:P
It's really good.. and when you want it for youtube do it again and just resize it to 352x288 CIF or that's what it's for PAL users.... so yeah.. that's it:)

thank you, appreciate it alot:)
I'm trying to get a hold of a Walkam Easy Pro steadicam.. it's supposed to be pretty great.. so I can do these "walking" types of films with a more smooth camera movement.. But I do think the shaking adds a little to the flavor..

Hehe.. yeah me and my buddy were behind the camera going: "Actors... " hehe..
But it's true.. really hard to find good actor in Norway.
I just used some friends of mine that had "some" acting skills.. at least better than me:P
For my next "movie" or dialog I'm gonna have them speak English.

As for the intro shot we just hooked the camera onto my buddy's bicycle.. And just tried to keep it steady.. and he built a mini ramp for that last part where the camera tilts..
