On disc one of Barry Green's HVX-200 bootcamp DVD he talks about switching between 2 and 4 channel audio. When I'm in P2 mode I'm unable to switch it to 4 CH because 2 CH is in blue. Can someone please clarify how I can switch it? Learning a ton with these new DVD's!

That's a DV/DVCPRO thing. If you're not in DV/DVCPRO mode, it'll be blue because it's not an option. Not something that's there's much use for, anyway . . .

If you're shooting in DVCPRO 50 or DVCPRO HD, you're always recording four channels of audio -- two from the built-in mics, two from the XLR inputs. You don't have to set anything; it's always that way.

The only thing you can "switch" is what ch you want to record: the XLR imputs or the internal mic (you do that on the side of the camera-not in the menu) . But like David said, if you want all 4 (2 XLR, 2 internal) you need to be in DVCPRO 50 or DVCPRO HD.

He's referring to 25M Rec Ch Sel under Recording Setup. Allows four-channel recording in DV or DVCPRO mode.
