2.35 Cinema in Vegas

Does Vegas have a preview setting so you can see what your clips look like if you want 2.35? I can render by changing the resolution 1280x544 = 2.35 and telling it not to letter box.. but it still looks sqached. Is there a crop factor in vegas like FCP?

Hmmm..maybe I did somthing wrong. I tried that..but it didnt work. If you do that..do you render in custom settings 1280x544 or leave it at 1280x720 and let the crop do the work..guesing it takes out the squached look?

You don't want to change your project settings. Just set width to 1280 and height to 544 in pan/crop. Make sure the "maintain aspect ratio" button on the side is UNclicked.

David, if you uncheck the maintain aspect ratio would you not get a squeezed look if you crop 1280X544?
