2:35:1 with a ruler

Hello...

I'm not going to have enough time to get those screen placement things for the LCD to show the 2:35:1 crop... (i forgot what the little sticker things are called)... So I was wondering if somebody can tell me if theres a way you can measure it with a ruler so I can put some tape or something... please let me know...

Here's an easy way. Open up your NLE, throw up an image with a 2.35:1 widescreen crop, have it play through your camera, that way it will show up on your LCD and you can make your marks however you choose.
 
Well, I have footage of some stuff I've done with the store consumer cameras and my VX2100... Maybe I should just crop it to 2:35:1 and than play it through my cam?

The only problem is... I dunno how to crop the footage in Vegas to 2:35:1 and I don't know how to play it through my camera lol... I'm using Vegas 7...
 
There's no specific measurment to put the elastic bands? I'm working with a 2:40:1 crop now instead... Or can somebody please tell me how to play Vegas footage into the camcorder from the computer?
