2/3" B4-mount lenses on AF100, complete ENG kit concept

Jonathon- wouldn't it actually be 36-572 equivalent with the (can I say it?) crop factor, in a full frame sense?

How is it for fringing and CA?
Thanks!

Yes. I was just thinking about the lens itself w/ the 2x extender not thinking of the crop factor of the camera... It's awesome... But the fringing can be really bad. It looks like stopping down by 2-2.5 stops takes care of the fringing. I haven't had a chance to test it thoroughly. If Abelcine's adapter takes care of the problem I may start understand why it costs $4,800.

I would also like to see some pics of your setup. What model lens did you use?

Nice rig! Do you have any examples of the fringing you could share? Even frame grabs? Was it bad enough that you couldn't use the shot? Thanks! (and quite a chord in your user name!)

It does "take care" of this and that is indeed why it costs what it does. Mechanics are cheap and easy compared to optics.

That and the optics have to compensate for a lens designed for a 3 chip sensor and somehow translate that light path for a cmos sensor camera.

There's definitely some optical mojo going on there.

What AbelCine rents is the original version of the HDx2, which is in PL mount, not Micro 4/3. So you will have to use a PL lens mount adapter on the camera, which is good because this also includes a support for the lens mount so all weight and torque stress is removed from the AF100's lens mount. We rent the PL adapters as well. We can also supply a Y-cable to connect to the cable on the B4 mount lens which goes to a P-Tap to power the zoom servo motor and a mini plug to connect to the camera's start/stop jack for triggering with the lens' REC button.

I just bought a ciecio7 adaptor to try it with what is admittedly an incredibly old Fuji A14x9.5. Results were completely unusable sadly. It was marginally better on a GH2 with the ETC mode engaged, but both were a real disappointment.

There is also a MFT adapter B4 to Micro4/3 http://www.mtfservices.com/home.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=106&category_id=2
the price is GBP 295,00 in $ 468,00.

Good luck!
Sorry if my English is bad, but i looking only for adapter dimension. Actually for distance between the B4 lens and M43 mount

Your English isn't bad (it isn't my native language to) but I can't help you out with the dimension, because I don't have such a adapter. Ask Editman Sweden he will help you out! www.editmansweden.com

Good luck again!
