2/3" adapters with/without glass for EX3 and long lens work

Good day mates,

I need some help please.
I'm searching for the best solution for long lens use. I have an EX3/Nikon Adapter and a Sigma 100-300 F4 lens and am disapointed because of big CAs. I've also used a 105 macro lens with the exact same results. Is it possible that this problem is related to the fact that lenses calculated for a plane field/film/sensor (16mm, 35mm, SLR lenses) have this problem on 3CCD/ 3CMOS Chips because of the Chip offset of the 3 chips?

So I want to buy a 'real' broadcast lens for the EX3 to work around this problem.

I have the budget f.e for a ZA22 (2/3") and 2/3" adapter.

There is an optical adapter from Fujinon and Canon and non optical ones from different supliers. I found out that the optics in the fujinon and canon adapters are against CAs and optical registration errors because of different builts of 1/2" and 2/3" prisms of the sensors. But more glass is not always better.

I also read about disapointments about the Fujinon adapter and 2/3" HD lenses on the EX3 (?).

So that's the theory I know, partly collected in this forum as well.

I'm only looking for a solution comparable in sharpness and CAs to the stock lens of the EX3. Not more.

But what's the best practical solution for the best optical performance for me?
1/2" lenses (a bit to short for my work, 300mm+ would be perfect)
2/3" lenses with optical adapter
2/3" lenses with non optical adapter

I hope that anybody here has tried 2/3" HD lenses on 2/3" HD cameras and on the ex3 with any adapter mentioned and can give me any comparison informations or thoughts.

How compares the sharpness and CAs of f.e. the ZA22 or similar Canon glass with engaged 2x extender to the EX3 stock lens?

I don't want to spend 25.000 $+ for crapy results.

Thank you very much for your advices!

Cheers

Steffen
