Sorry, No Video
I was going to make a video for everyone, but I could not stay off of DVXuser long enough to find the time!
1,000 Posts in One Year
Anyway, here I am, writing my 2,000th post, just three weeks short of a year later. (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=118003)
Life Is CRAZY
Since that post (just under one year ago) I have had one of the biggest life altering years of my young life: I shot four additional senior thesis films, graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design School (Major in Film, concentration in cinematography), created my website/demo reel, packed up and moved across the country to Los Angeles, was hired by Panavision, picked up a brand new car last week, and am continuing to do what I love, which is work as cinematographer on narrative films and music videos! Phew!!
My life has changed so rapidly, that I sometimes have these wierd moments driving through Los Angeles on my way to work thinking "Holy shi*, I'm here". Such an odd feeling with the world of film and television at your doorstep.
One of the only things that is consistant within my 'new life', is that I still check DVXuser every day right after Gmail and Facebook.
DVXuser is a wonderful website which is filled with great people. I've met about half a dozen out here in LA so far, and all are very talented and nice individuals, with whom I'd work with anyday. I hope this website stays well and progresses into the future.
Get Drunk for Ryan
In the spirit of my 1,000th post (and I've quite possibly drank 1,000 beers since then) everyone should crack open a cold one. Here's to another 1,000 posts.:beer::beer:
Thanks again! I wish the best to all!
Cheers!
Free Gift!
And since most cinematographers are arrogant and egotistical, I present my gift to DvxUser: An autographed picture. Feel free to download it, print it out and hang it on your wall.

PS: I've got a shoot coming up the first weekend of December. I am DPing a USC grad student film. I am in need of a volunteer crew. Come hang out and help a good cause. There is no pay, but you will hopefully have a good time and perhaps learn something from my madness.... good or bad! PM me for more details, if interested.
