2,000 feet of Hot Wheels!

That was pretty awesome. That jump over the fountain was pretty sweet.

Now, let's strap a GoPro to it and have another run!

Somebody has WAY too much time on their hands....and money to burn! Very cool though.

I wish I had all my original Hot Wheels (back from the mid 1960's)...as soon as I left the house, my Mother gave it all away...it would be worth a fortune today.
D'OUGH!!!

Seems like that fountain jump is a bit of a variable.

If only all of us had combined our sets back in the day . . .

Cry a river, ZaZa. I use to read comic books and I had the original Superman first issue without the cover. What did I do with it? Through it away. Had no idea people collected those things. Sigh.

Yeah, I bought this cool book of Hot Wheels cars from the late 60's and 1970's. They had red rims and were called the Red Line era. Some of those cars are worth $$. The funniest thing is a few of the models had the designers phone # on the side panel (like the tow truck) and they said kids used to call him.

One of the best things about having young kids….an excuse to buy cool toys!

I hope this ends up being a really cool lesson on editing. In my head, all I can think of is the kids/dad having enough track for the first setup (0:18-0:28), and just creating little tracks throughout various locations in the house/on the sidewalk, and cutting it all together and telling everyone its one long track.
Very cool, either way. I better be wrong.

I thought the same thing, but the part with the two unrelated corners made me suspect otherwise.

This is such a cool project for a father and his sons to do whether it was in fact one really long track or just some nifty editing. I liked the shot selection in a lot of places too. Some of it looked quite cinematic:

- The bit where the car kind of skidded onto the edge of the track after a jump before righting itself.
- The low-angle shot of the car climbing the stairs.
- The jump over the fountain.
- The lower angle shots closer to the car.

It was the kind of thing that could have been boring to watch in spite of its uniqueness, but the way the whole thing was put together held my attention throughout.
