Greetings,

I wanted to share these stills I captured from today's test shoot riding the F-train. This is my 1st test using the HVX with Redrock M2 adapting a Nikon 20mm lens. All available light and in camera settings, no post fx or coloring. I am no stranger to this community but this is my 1st post, hope you enjoy.

Hey Clay,

great work!! and what a CV...very impressed. I like artists that are real anarchist of arts! That experiment themselves in different areas and arts vs super specialized ones!!

Good job, hope to see more on your site or here, but by the way where are the stills? and which camera did you use for the Habana Girl story?

take care,

rap

Thanks for the feedback, I will put a clip up soon. Anyone recommend the best quicktime export using FCP for internet screening? These stills were a test but also for a short film series that all take place on the metro. I will follow up soon...

One quickie way to do it is to export the file from FCP at full rez, then import that file into quicktime and export using the broadband/LAN preset. You may have to correct the aspect ratio, and I usually change audio to 32KHZ stereo.
This gets file size down and has pretty good quality.

this is sorta off topic but since exporting was brought up... meanstreetprod, would your way be better than exporting from a timeline directly to H.264?

also, i've noticed if i throw stuff from FCP directly out using H.264 and export it exactly at 50% of normal standard def NTSC DV (427x240) i get a green line down the right hand side; sometimes it's static green with red speckled in for good measure. when i dial it up to 430x240 this problem magically disappears!

does anyone have a explaination for this?

Thanks for the feedback all!

Yeah I was satisfied by the way the setup handled the sky etc, colors really popped. No polarizer although I would like to use one next time.

I am in the market for a Steadicam flyer rig, if there are any steadicam operator/owners in NYC want to run an F train test shoot with me just let me know.
