Hey guys,
I will give you the shpeel on my feature length doc then will have questions.
The story will be about this musician, David Shultz, trying to simply
make a living off of his music and his message. In a world today where everything is glamorized and where true art is not well reflected in our culture today and often overlooked in our media saturated world, this film will take a look
at someone who is trying to bring his form of art back to the basics of reaching the people.
ok - i know there is a run on sentence in there.
I am going to be using the DVX 100B. Basically i am going to be following the musician around on tour. I was planning on using wireless Lav mic for interviews and trying to get a direct feed from sound boards at shows.
I know I am going to need a large amount of tape stock
What tapes would work best and are most reliable/complient with the DVX 100B heads?
Any suggestions on what mic would be best for capturing live sound at shows? Ive heard the Sennheiser ME-66 is good for live shows.
I was planning on getting a mounted small 10-20 W light. All formal interviews will be lit with small poll lights (Lowell lights)
Any suggestions for affordable/good quality wireless Lav mics? I have used Samson Micro 32 series transmitter/receivers and am very pleased with them but they are around $500.
Also, if anyone knows of any Grant institutions for possible funding that would be great too. Ive researched some Grants given out specifically for Docs. Just wanted to see if someone knows something I dont. Which i am sure is the case.
Thank you all for your time and help
