1st dvx footage

Hi guys,
just wanted to share my first dvx footage I shot this afternoon. the whole point was to see how it performs in natural and low light. throughout the footage I tried to use different light sources to see how bad the picture will be and... I was very impressed with the images I got from noncontrolable light. This totaly assured me of the right purchase over pd170 I was debating over. So thank you to this forum and you guys for extensive debates over this wonderful camcorder.

here's the footage... I added some music so you won't fall asleep. lol :)
btw it was shot 24pa with bunch of different color settings, mainly the temperature and gain/iris experimenting.

great stuff guy, the close up of the picnic table was gorgeous. And how did you train the bug to climb on cue?!?!? :D

Pretty nice, I was expecting shoeless Joe Jackson to come walking out of the darkness! ;)

I was surprised by the nice DOF you can get out of this camera, even though it was not very deep but still nice. Was jsut wondering if if this could the enhanced with i.e extra wide lens and several uv filters in the front of it? Any experience with this??

as far as my trainned circus fly, yeah it took me almost hour to get it on the right track. :P btw nice shots happens.

next upgrade is definetely a tripod, but $400 will hit my wallet pretty hard. :'(

OH MY GOD...I didn't know you could get that kind of DOF with the dvx. In fact...I got the impression you couldn't get DOF with teh dvx.

Sweet shots. What piece of music is that? Where have I heard it. I was definitely waiting for an epic little league game to break out. ;)

that was noone else but the mighty Shrek soundtrack...lol.. I really like how it performs under  a good lighting at night. Since I'm switching from little tiny sony pc115 please forgive me the rudness of the badly focused shots and no tripod :P.

Btw I loved the spirit at the game but since there was noone I knew I just tried to shoot some neutral stuff. You know how parents get when somebody strange is filming their children. lol

I checked out the post on DOF and great stuff, thanks for the link. Just was wondering if any of you guys followed up on the link to make your own DOF Machine from Mediachance.com?? Looked pretty solid piece of equipment.

thanks for the comments guys, I'll be shooting soon some PSAs and some Music Videos so I will keep you posted.
