18hrs sony fs100 interview footage - digital management issues!

this weekend, i have a three camera interview shoot. (2 fs100s + sony A77)

each camera will generate approximately 6 hours of footage. (6 x 1hr interviews)

3 cameras x 6hr footage will generate = approx 18 hours of footage!

using clipwrap to prores LT will take approx how long?

and how large will 18 hrs of prores LT be? 1tb? 2tb?

(what size hard drive do i need to store/work with all this footage?)

any and all thoughts are appreciated.

Storage is cheap these days, but one thing that came to my mind when you describer your situation was: file naming... that's one of the few things I really dislike about the FS100... the annoying filenaming :S

Just tested a 2 min .mts clip in ClipWrap into ProRes LT and that took 1.39 min.

The hardware used was a 2011 MBP 2.2 i7, 16gb ram, SSD harddrive.

Raw .mts file: 368mb

ProRes LT file: 653mb

Im in the middle of doing something similar (will
finish up tonight.). I archive each card from each camera
to a separate folder on an external 1TB harddrive. That
is my 'digital negative'. From there, I convert to Pro Res
if needed and transfer onto my 3TB RAID work drive.
