FS5: 180 Degree shutter doesn't work with S&Q Motion

When I set the shutter to 180 degrees (in the 'display' menu, Sony!?) and switch to S&Q motion 240fps, the shutter doesn't stay at 180 degrees. Worse, it maxes out at 85 degrees, which I assume is based on the new frame rate and will make the footage appear choppy.
If you switch to shutter time, you can set it to 500, which is close to 480, which is what I want. (Or Auto, which I would never use).
What I really would like would be for 180 degrees to always be like a film camera, where a 180 degree shutter is open exactly half of the time of each frame, or double the framerate.
It's amazing that Sony could get something so basic wrong. It really prevents these cameras from being taken seriously.
Does anybody know where to report bugs to Sony? Has anybody had luck with reporting?
Thanks,
Sam

I'm on Firmware 2.0, but the problem goes back before. It doesn't appear to be effected by Picture Profile.
If you shutter is set to degrees, the setting does not stick when you go to S&Q (slow and quick) motion.

I don't exactly understand what you are saying, are you talking about bugs the camera had before FW 2.0 ?? Why? You have an outdated firmware known to have the shutter angle bug. Firmware is at version 3.1 now.

Aaahhhh.... You are talking about FS5, not FS7. Sorry, my bad.

The FS7 had a bug were when changing resolution the angle might slip to 360. Also the shutter button is confusing and easy to change to auto.

It was always solid at 180 until you fiddled in the menu.

Neither seem relevant to your issue if you have one.

I, too, am annoyed with this. Setting to 180 deg on the FS7 works exactly as it should and enables quick switching between S&Q and normal speed. On the FS5 it takes way longer than it should. Adding to the frustration is the fact that pressing menu takes you out of S&Q completely.

So frustrating

I find this to be so annoying. I use the fs5 on a gimbal frequently. Having to press shutter to change my shutter speed for S&Q while mounted on a gimbal is challenging. Why can't the camera just stick with 180 degrees? I have found very little complaining about this on the forums/Facebook groups. I am so surprised this doesn't frustrate more people. Did you ever find an avenue to recommend this fix to Sony?
Thanks
Jake
