I'm not sure where I should post this question please excuse if I'm not in the right place. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this compression format 18 DTV ATSC MPEG2.
I think its a High Defenition Mpeg2 that is used for broadcasting HD TV. If this is true -I thought Mpeg2 was 480p. The DTV ATSC MPEG2 claims to be 720p, 1080i. Is it possible to create HD mpeg2 files and if so what do I need to do it. The reason I ask is a friend has a Roku HD1000 media player that claims to play HD mpeg2 files. I would like to make a mpeg2 file that would play in this player. It can loop a video file for presentations and the like. Is anyone familiar with this device.
