I have a 170 mystery on my hands. When i connect my Nano flash via HD SDI i get no sync. my outputs are turn on and set to auto, so i think umm this is wierd. I then hook up the Sdi Out put from the camera to our old sony BVM Studio Monitor, Bam!! Signal comes through i see a image and all seems to be working. if i connect the nano flash off of the Output of the monitor the sync shows up and i can record no problem. now it gets wierder. i think what happens if i take the SDI signial off the camera and go into our small Manhattan HD Field monitor, NOTHING no SYNC no Image, again if i loop through my sony monitor though a image shows up bright and clear on the manhattan.
so why is it my sony monitor can get the SDI signal but seemingly nothing else can???? any thoughts would be greatly appciated i have a long 3 camera shoot coming up on wednesday and i would like to beable to use my Nano flash and not have to lug around my big 100 pound Sony CRT monitor
