[WTB] 17" SDI Monitor (or larger) Panasonic or JVC

I am about to shoot a 3 day pilot on location where a larger Director's Monitor will be needed. In hopes of the show getting picked up and some other upcoming shoots, I think it makes sense to try and pick one up used. I am mainly interested in the Panasonic 17" SDI monitors due to their "industry standard" characteristics... but am open to other options. The 20" JVC has seemed interesting as well. It will be used with a 7d running through an hdmi - sdi converter and SmallHD DP6.

PM or email me with anything possibly for sale, and any posts with info on which monitor I should go with would be great. I will be posting something similar elsewhere in the forums to try and specifically seek out advice in case I have to rent or buy new.

Thanks

I don't have one to sell, but I just got done working with one while freelance editing. I plugged my 7D into the DVI port using an HDMI to DVI converter. The picture was great and I'm sure your SDI converter will make it even better. Activating 1:1 filled the screen but also cropped it a little, like overscan would. Turing off 1:1 shrank you could see the entire image, but it didn't fill the screen. Another thing to keep in mind is that the 17" panel's native resolution is only 1366 x 768, so you'll never be viewing full 1080. That said it's a great monitor with SDI, but if you need to see the full 1080 get the 24". Hope this helps on your search.
