16x9 Functions on HVX recording DV?

Had a question for all of you in the know~

I'm looking to do a shoot on my HVX. The client wanted to shoot DVX100a/b, but I sold mine (an original DVX100) to pay for the new, lovely HVX.

My question is this:
They are shooting 24p on the DVX's for other shows . . . and sometimes they shoot in 16x9 on certain portions of the show. The client didn't seem very tech savy, and I was grilling him on which setting they put the camera into for this. (it was odd because the Majority of the show is shot 4:3, but the interview are shot 16X9. I'm an editor also, so if it were my project, I'd be cutting this in a 4:3 project timeline, and I'd have the shooter shoot it all in 4:3, but frame for 16x9 letterbox on the interviews, and I'd just add a letterbox mask in post, which would let me repositioning potetial on the interviews (up or down).

So, what would the different letterboxing options in the DVX100a/b correspond with on the HVX if I want the footage to work in the same manner?

THanks so much!

(I see the option in the HVX are "letterbox" and "Squeeze". Also, is there a difference in how the image will be on the tape because of the difference in chip aspect ratio (the DVX being native 4:3 and the HVX being 16:9 native)

The footage on tape will only differ by its PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio). Either .9 for letterbox mode or 1.2 for squeeze mode.
