Hey. First time, long time.

This probably a stupid quetion, but since the video for the horror fest has to be 16x9 or anamorphic. Is there a way to do that in camera and have it look decent or am I going to have to dish out the money (i dont have) for an adapter?

I've mainly used my DVX for weddings and stupid shorts with my friends. I never really got into how great the camera can be.

If it says 16:9 or anamorfic that should ment that you can shoot letterbox. If it also must be anmorf then resize it in post.

It needs to be anamorphic eventually. If you submit letterbox, Jarred will chop the bars off and resize it.

I just bought the Panasonic Anamorphic 16:9 lens but can't get the DVX 100A to accept it in 16:9 mode. It shoots is all squished in 4:3 and when I capture the video in PPro 1.5 I set the project for 24p, widescreen 48k NTSC. I see the widescreen mode in the edit monitor but the actual video show with the DVX 100 A with the Anamorphic lens will only come up 4:3.

I have the camera set up for normal format, OIS and Auto focus off, Thin line and everything I could find set to cinematic.

Anyone had this experience before or have ideas. I can get 16:9 in squeezed mode but that defeatures the purpose of the adapter lens and not nearly the quality.

Please Help !

Normal on camera is correct.

In ppro capture the footage. After capture right click on the file, select interpret footage select 16:9. Done.

Its for web and maybe you can reach the DVD so squeeze would be ok.

so are you saying to shoot it in squeeze and then in post(i use final cut studio) to stretch it there? Or by using a 16x9 timeline, will it do it automatically? thanks
