16mm SS

Hey guys,

I've never shot 16mm so I want to clarify something. Is it necessary to have a DAT or minidisc recorder if you're doing sound for a 16mm? Is it ok to use a minidv cam (like a ZR) and a mixer?

It would be easier to have a DAt or MiniDv as the transfer house can easily take those formats and sync them .
