16mm lens on the F3

Anyone tried a 16mm lens on the F3? Would the lens cover the sensor or would there be port-holing? Also what would it do to the focal length, would it be like the Red and essentially double the standard mm say a 50mm looks like a 100mm?
 
Well I am coming from a Red camera perspective that a 16mm lens will work, but we we would shoot at 2k not 4K. So I take it that the F3 is using the entire sensor but is converting to the 1080 resolution in camera

Yep, the F3 uses the whole sensor down to 1080. It won't 2K like the Red would so you will need 35mm glass.
If you need it I would be willing to rent some of my glass since I know you.

It is. I didn't even pay attention who was responding to me. I didn't know you where on these boards. So do you have an F3, Dave? I just got mine before Christmas and am still trying to figure everything out. I have several Nikon lenses and have been renting some nice PLs for some jobs. I have been looking at other glass and was just looking at options, but was still a little confused as to how the sensor is being used, but seems more clear now that I have thought it through. Shoot me a PM, with what glass you have, I might be interested in renting from time to time.
