I know that we're taking preorders on 16GB cards.

how can there be a pre order, have they let us in on the price?
Got in line for 865.00 shipping in May at AValive

They also had 8 gigs with free shipping at 675.00

I ordered mine from ProMedia in Memphis.
They should be available in mid May.
You'll need to flash your HVX to make them 16gb compatible. Firmware upgrade is FREE but won't be ready until cards ship.
Keep checking this site: https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/support/cs/csregistp2m/ep2main/soft_e.htm
Unlike some vendors, ProMeida does not charge your credit card until it receives your items.
Don't work for them, but I've ordered many times in the past.

B&H is now taking back orders for the 16 P2. I ordered two. They required up front payment to place the back order (!) They claim that back orders will be filled before the item shows up for sale on their web site.
As for delivery date, I spoke to several Panasonic reps @ NAB and the consensus was "Don't hold your breath". Shipping in May probably means that a few will trickle out around Memorial day.... Hoping for June!
