I know that the HVX needs an update to use the 16gb Cards... does your laptop as well? It wouldn't mount in the P2 Driver slot and I still have to get the footage off.

Yes, *everything* that touches a card needs an updated driver. If you can plug a card into it, or read a card with it, or copy the contents of a card from it, it needs an updated driver.
