I need to do the opposite of most. I want to go from 16:9 to 4:3. Which software should I be using to do this? Does Vegas 5 do this? I know it does 4:3 to 16:9.. hmm Anyone out there that can help?

Re: 16:9 to 4:3
You can do it, but you will lose the right and the left side of the image, there is no solution for this. In Vegas video you can be done of the following way: when the clip is in the timeline, "click" to the square of the clip (event pan/crop) you the picture of dialogue will appear, into the top of the picture when says "preset" you can change "default" to"4:3 standard tv aspect ratio"
good luck

Do you want to present the 16:9 video on a 4:3 tv (adding letterbox bars), which will be like a "widescreen DVD"...
... or do you want to crop off the sides and blow up the center portion to fill the 4:3 screen (like a "fullscreen DVD")?
