16:9 adapter lens on the HPX?

Barry says that a standard def lens will be an issue. Pleading ignorance here. What are the differences between a SD and HD lens?

Barry will be able to do a much better job in explaining this but it has to do with the quality of the glass. SD glass introduces Chroma Aberration in the pictures due to light scatter in the glass. Especially around the edges. HD glass is prepared differently so that the CA is reduced. That is just one of the differences I'm sure.

I hope this helps.

Someone did this and posted results in the XHA1 forum. I don't know what lens they used, but it looked pretty cool.

Yeah, I thought it might have something to do with aberration... But I will check out the post, Yommytacoe... Thanks
