hi guys, while I'm waiting for my first DVX100a I wanted to know what the best setup is to output:

1) auto reviews (3-7 minutes each video)
2) product reviews (1-3 minutes)

for the web should be?

Should I use 24p, 60i, letterbox, sqeeze???

I'm reading the manual as we speak and wanted to get a few opinions from professionals who've had experience with this.

Whether or not to shoot 24p or interlaced is a creative deciscion that you must decide on. Talk to your clients, find out what they want, give them options. It sounds like you're doing TV work so I would stick with the 60i mode but then again, its your discretion. As far as the letterbox, squeeze, 4:3 modes, I would shoot in 4:3 and crop later in post if thats the look you're going for. That way you have more room for play and aren't stuck to the shot. If you have an anamoprhic lens, shoot squeeze.

easy cheese

hi rdg,

thanks for taking the timeout to write. I appreciate it.

All of our production will be for internet or online use only.
If people decide to burn it onto a dvd, well that's their business.

And all videos will be shown with QuickTime.

Since it is not for tv, or large screen movie theaters like most people here I wanted to get your opinion on what kind of format I should use?

I figure there is a difference in choosing 24p or 60i for the movies but what about the web? I have no idea what sort of effects or results are possible - I don't have the camera yet - so I was hoping you could tell me.
