OK, I need to use my 151 (switchable) with my DVX100 PAL (pre A model).
I need to deliver SD NTSC DVDs Which I produce by importing uncompressed AVI's. When I used just my DVX I rendered out 4:3 PAL footage and then converted to NTSC using the Atlantis DVfilm software with exellent results.
I also want to render the final footage in widescreen. The pre A model of the DVX just has 'norm' & 'letterbox' modes for widescreen.
Dont want to preconvert all the raw DVX footage to NTSC as it will be about 5 hours and the Atlantis software isnt fast!
I can use CS3 & CS4
I was planning to do the following:
Shoot PAL 1080p with the 150
Convert the 150 footage to DVCpro50 (easier editing)
Open two sequences in CS4 one for the DVX footage (shot in Letterbox) and one for the DVCpro footage.
Drop the DVCpro sequence into the DVX sequence and scale down as required.
Edit on this timeline and render out a PAL widescreen uncompressed AVI
Convert this AVI into NTSC using Atlantis
Does all that sound realistic to get a decent quality output??
