150 Camera remote, LANC???

I assume the camera remote inputs on the back panel are NOT LANC. Is that true? I've got the Stealthzoom from Varizoom and love it. But I also am borrowing an Edirol that doesn't have the TC capability, but it does have start/stop capability with LANC. I don't want to plug anything in that might blow the camera. Has anyone used the Edirol with LANC on the 150?? Is it possible?

No, it is not LANC. Panasonic uses their own protocol. The flip side is that it's pretty universal across their line-up in this price range... the DVX100, HMC150, HPX170, and HVX200 can all use the same remotes.

here's a cheap but good alternative for a controler, and the good thing is that it's switchable between LANC and Panasonic's protocol...

I personally use a boggen/manfrotto arm and a varizoom controllers... but Libec works good, i should be getting one soon for my crane (but i used one before and works good)
