150 and TS1 dance videos with Opteka Fisheye...

hey Justyn...i wanted to watch that opteka vid...but my net seems to be acting a fool now :furious3:.....but is that the opteka 0.4hd2 ? cuz i saw some other posts by somebody else with it here and it seems to be quite good for the hmc. I wanted to know if u know if it wud be also compatable with the dvx since its also 72mm....but i duno about if it will have vignetting or whatever. Never used a one...but it seems like a good deal...$200. (everything i try to get now i want do be able to use on both cameras in prep. for whenever i upgrade.)

Yes.... It's .45 I believe and it's really really great for what it is.. and how much it cost. It looks just as good as the Century that I had with the HVX and it's 1/3rd the price. They also sent a free lens cleaning kit and a free hat... Quite cool..

There's no vignetting with the lens that I've seen.. maybe a bit of edge softness but nothing too bad at all.. here's the thing though... DO NOT, use the cheap ass spacer that they send.. it's crap and it got suck on my camera and was a huge PITA. What I do is leave on my UV stackable and screw into that... That's the only thing that I don't like about it, and where the Century is better... The century had that bayonette mount but it was specific to whatever cam you had...

This will work with the DVX and other 72mm cams.. so it's got more functionality.. I really like the thing but the only other thing to consider is that's its a real pain to keep clean since the focus is on the macro and you see all the smeers and dirt.. but this is usual for a fisheye and was the same way with the Century.. So when you get it, just realize that there's some labor involved.

Overall for the price you can't beat it. and it comes in a nice case and everything. I have used it a bunch and I'll try and get a frame grab up so I can send to ya.. Send me a PM with ya email or I'll post it on my server or something...

Cheers
