Than the out of the box 14-42 lens. Is that true?

[Ben_B]

It is, but neither of them are that great.

[muroshi]

What do you recomend?

You could also look at the m4/3 Olympus 14-54mm f/2.8-3.5

Does that exist?

[muroshi]

And will autofocusing work like on panasonic lenses?

[Eximious]

Does that exist?

It's a four thirds lens. The Mark II supports autofocus on the GH1 / GH2. It runs about $500, though a FT to MFT adapter will set you back more.

But it says unworkable on autofocus continuous mode...

As well... For the Full HD motion picture recording( [FHD] in [AVCHD] ) in DMC-GH1, AF does not work, and it records in MF.

[Eximious]

Correct. It supports AFS, but is not optimized for video.
