GH3 : 14-140mm Version II now available in USA

[Bern Caughey]

Picked up a Lumix 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 yesterday at Samy's, & they had at least one other in stock, plus another 10 in the works.

I own the original version but hope to replace it with the new. The primary motivation is to standardize my m4/3 ND filter size at 58mm. For documentary work the 12-35/2.8 & 35-100/2.8 are my workhorses, & the 14-140mm is mostly a backup, so having fewer NDs to transport is a big benifit, especially when traveling.

It's too bad the new version isn't a constant 2.8 as well. That'd make it killer!

Conservatively it cost at least $5k, likely more.

Yes, please do give us some feedback, once you have put the lens through its paces.

I use the crap out of my old 14-140 but I've never loved it. Eager to see if this improves some of the foibles, like gravity-zoom, AF hunting, and varifocality
