1394 import issue

Hello,

This is my first post here.

I am trying to import footage for a class project. I am more familiar with the hpx 500 and the hpx170/200. For some reason I can't figure out how to mount the P2 cards onto my macbook pro. I know in the menu I should go to other functions>1394 control, but it is blue and it can't be modified. How do I make this option available?
 
It has nothing to do with the 1394 control function, you want to set PC MODE to 1394 DEVICE, and then put the camera in PC mode.
