1394 Host will not work...

I'm in desperate need of help...I'm in Hong Kong shooting a show with my HVX200 (w/ 4 16gb cards and my 15" MacBook Pro). I normally set up my camera as a 1394 Host and dump the cards to a firewire drive (which must be powered). I have been doing it this way since I have bought the camera. But, now it simply will not work!!! I can't seem to get the camera to recognize that the hard drive is pugged in (I have brought 4 different HD's and none of them work). I had it working on the first day...dumped all 4 cards and now NOTHING!!! Any ideas???

Did you format the HD using the HVX format utility?

Yes...all have been formatted...I've used them all before just fine...

Are the drives connected directly to the HVX, and not to any other device at the same time? Can you plug the HVX into a computer in non-native mode to confirm that the DV port isn't dead?
