Morning Rich, Well morning where Im at anyway. I think its great you've given yourself this challenge. I watched all 4 and can see where you're going in each as to the type of content you're producing with these pieces.
What have you set as your mark of success for this journey? To complete all 12? Personally I think that's a tough target, so if you did it Im thinking you'd get a big pass.
Personally and I'm just throwing my thoughts out there, I'd like to see them get better and better. I'd like to see each one push a little further than the last, in lighting, sound, shots, acting, locations. I think if you could really achieve this throughout the year, you'd also start building a larger audience as you grew.
Anyway keep on keeping on. Will watch the next release.
Thanks, Noel for taking the time out to watch my films. the main goal of this is to get me in the normal habits of what it takes to make a good film. Normally I would do 1 5-15 page script a year because the lack of time because of normal life, family, etc. So I finish up for the year and everything goes back into storage for several months before I'd get the directing itch again. I always felt like I was not moving forward on the process of directing, editing and so on because of the long gaps between films. This project is to get me into a the habit of doing the directing/editing steps from memory instead of always needing to research or re-learn certain things...I guess. 12 Films is also the main goal as well...this allows me to connect with different writer's around the world and with local start-up actors. If I DO NOT get all 12 films shot...I will be disappointed as I do not want to let my fans(very few) and the writer's who are excited to have their scripts brought to life.
Thanks again for checking out my progress and films!
Updated "Blue Light Special" Progress thread. Huge deal locking in a site for this film. I had been shot down by 5 or 6 other places.
Thank goodness for Local shops...up yours "Big Box Stores!" - I understand their worries and why I was not allowed to film, some, but either way I am glad this place has given me the chance!
