What was the ISO/aperture on the 12-35? Did you have any additional lighting?
Varied the whole time. Always on 2.8 and mostly iso 800. No additional lighting.

no guides, just adjusted in post.
But...how did you frame things without guides? I mean, you'd have no way to know where to put the heads for proper headroom without a guide.
For those who've used the lens for a few shoots, how's the AF (say compared to the 14-140mm). From my brief tests both the OIS and the AF seems slightly superior, but I'd be curious what those who've had more experience would say ...
Thanks!
Dave
7-28 sounds extremely unlikely. Wide zooms are rarely long, usually about 2x or less. Lumix 7-14 is 2x, Canon 10-22 is just over 2x, Tokina 11-16 is 1.5x, Nikon 12-24 is 2x... You just don't find wide long zooms.but now that I hear a 7-28mm F4 OIS is in the works to supplant the 7-14mm I may just wait for that and get fast wide primes instead.
43 rumors and mu-43...usually they come to fruition, but I'm still holding out considering they're batting average is pretty high. It has been leaked they are updating the 7-14 w/ a sequel so who knows, but it's enough to make me hesitant to buy the 12-35mm.7-28 sounds extremely unlikely. Where is this news of a 7-28? Is this an official announcement or a rumor?

Quick question Psynema, I'm thinking of renting the 12-35mm lens for an upcoming shoot I have. Not wanting to deal with adapters or having to switch lenses, it seems like almost it would be perfect for me. I usually shoot at 24-28mm and opening+ establishing shots I shoot at 15-20mm. So like I said seems like a perfect lens, my questions are this.
When shooting at 28mm is it possible to achieve shallow dof? How is the distortion when shooting close faces? How good is the ois built in this lens? Is the focus ring and zoom rings smooth? Ideally I only shot primes on my Canon dslrs, but having to deal with adapters with apertures for my lenses is just to much right now, especially since my crew is limited for this up coming shoot.
I want to keep it simple and flow and it seems like the 12-35mm lens is what I'm looking for. I have a Nikkor 50mm and 85mm lens with manual aperture that I can use but that would be it.
Thanks for the help.
ps. Ideally I would love to rent the Olympus 12mm f/2.0and Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 , but that would cost me a lot more. I hope to be able to substitute those lenses with the 12-35mm f/2.8 lens even though I know is slower. Thanks
This footage was shot with a Hacked GH2 and the 12-35 lens
