Hi,
It seems my workflow is not optimal yet for burning 1080p50 on bluray.
When I record 1080p50 and watch it on my LCD TV (Panasonic GW10) from the camera it looks as good (and of course smoother) as 1080p25, no matter if I set the camera output to 1080p or 1080i.
When I burn 1080p25 on bluray as 1080i (progressive segmented frames) it looks as good as directly from the camera.
But when I burn 1080p50 on bluray as 1080i (Top field first) it looks quite a bit softer. That seems logical because it´s real interlaced. Every field is different and needs to be deinterlaced. But why is that not a problem when outputting directly from camera to my TV as 1080i?
My workflow is Premiere CS5.5 and then frameserving directly to Tmpgenc 5 (x264)
I really like to get the best resolution out on bluray. Am I doing anything wrong?
