1080p with shutter speed less than 1/30

Hi,
Somebody can shoot with shutter speed less than 1/30 at 1080p?
I can do it when i shoot in 720p with Manual AF and shutter speed 2", but in 1080p no way... it froze at 1/30...

I hack my Gh1 and don't remember if we could do it before the hack...?

The reason of my question is that I wanted to shoot with shutter speed at 2" in 1080p...

So you want to do a timelapse? It's impossible to shoot in real time slower than 1/30 when you're shooting 30 frames per second.

Nonetheless, with GH1 you can actually shoot to a 60 fps file with shutter speeds down to 1/2 second if in 720p mode and camera set to manual focus.

If that is the case, the camera must be using frame duplication. If the shutter speed is 1/2 a second and the framerate is 60 fps then 30 frames in a row are likely to be either the same or blended together in some clever way by the firmware.

I don't know specifically how it works, but the video cams I've used have all let me shoot below 1/30, which creates a blurry, stroby effect. For still shots of still objects, I suppose hypothetically it'd be an effective way to get a good shot in overly low light.

I'm always a bit confused when people reference 1/30 (or 1/24 for 24p) as the minimum shooting speed -- my understanding has been that it should be double the fps. Or is that only with a 180 degree shutter?
