1080i24pA live capture to FCP

I've been asked to shoot a 3-hour concert in 1080 24p.
Since I don't have enough P2 memory,
I thought I'd Firewire straight into FCP and capture now.
It seems to be working.

I did notice that FCP does not offer a regular 1080i24p capture option,
forcing me to use 24pA, which is easier for FCP to deal with.

I do a Capture Now. Then escape to stop. The clip looks fine.
The pulldown has been automatically removed. It's really 1080p23.976!

This is too easy.
Am I doing something wrong?

By the way, I was born in Wilmington. Cool hangouts by the river.
