1080i or 720P

Hello. I need some advice. I’m shooting an indie pilot episode on HPX370 for online distribution and wanted to know what mode to use best for filmic look: 1080i or 720p? The manual says use 720p for best filmic look. I’m recording both in AVC-I 100 internally and ProRes HQ to external device via SDI. I am using BBCFILM scene file or the FLAT scene file from Panasonic. 24 FPS.

Looks like I'm the first to ask "why not 1080p"? Apart from that, there's little point in shooting i for on-line, could also mention there never was such a thing as i film.

I’m sorry, where’s the 1080p mode? What am I missing? Didn’t see it it in the manual or the menues...
