1080i/24p or 1080i/24pa?

I usually shoot 720p/24pn on my HPX170.
Is 1080i/24pa for a 23.976 project and 1080i/24p for film transfer?

I just want a regular 23.976 project in 1080. A friend will be editing in FCP.
How does FCP handle pulldown?
(I edit on Avid, but this project will be on FCP).

You should always shoot in 24pa unless you're working with an older editor that can't handle footage in that format, or you simply want a 60i stream that has the 24p look.
