1080i 24 showing up interlaced in FCP

Isn't FCP supposed to automatically deinterlace the footage?

did you shoot in 24p or 24pA? In FCP you can only capture/import 24pA footage, there is no 24p support. So check you import settings if you did shoot in pA and you should be fine and all you have to do is re-import.

What Filmbuff said. If you're using FCP, I can't stress how much stress you'll avoid by shooting in pA mode. Trying to fix the regular 24p footage after the fact is a pain in the a$$.
