1080 or 720 when paired with 5D MK2

hey guys,

I am in pre production for a music video I'm shooting, and we will be using 2 cameras. An HPX500 and also a canon 5D..

I wanted to know if I should be shooting 720p on the HPX or 1080i.. Reason I am asking is because I want to make sure that the 1080i from the HPX doesent interfere with the 1080p from the 5D MK2 once I drop it in the editor. So far about 3 shots were taken (Broll) with the HPX500 set to 720p. Hope this isn't a problem!

might sound like a stupid question but I just wanted to clear this up so I have no doubts :)

I think you're getting it wrong... Panasonic writes progressive frames to interlaced format, but actually, those are progressive frames, so shoot 1080i 25p :)
