1080 firestore crazy interlacing?

so another dvxuser and myself shot some footage last friday and after looking at the footage and removing the adance pulldown(we shot at 1080 24) there is still a whooole lot of interlacing going on. but it seems that the pulldown removal was not done correctly, as frames 1 and 5 are bad, but 2,3, and 4 are good.

any ideas?

shot on hvx200 with firestore in quicktime, not pn.
 
You shouldn't use 1080/24 mode with FCP. You should have used 1080/24pA mode. There is pulldown in 1080/24, but there's "advanced" pulldown in 1080/24pA. So since you shot 1080/24, there's no "advanced" pulldown, so removing it did nothing.

You can probably run your footage through Cinema Tools to strip out the 2-3 pulldown.
 
when i removed the advanced pulldown it did process the clip. when viewing the clip in quicktime it originally said 29.97, after advance pulldown removal it says 23.98. so i guess it did something, but did it get messed up?

also one of the files when brought into fcp had no audio. it had the 4 tracks, but nothing on it. however, when viewed in quicktime the audio is there.

anyone have any ideas about this?
