Hey all, I know this section sees little action lately, but I am receiving my LT soon and I have some questions for specific things to my workflow that I can’t find anywhere online. I did play with the rear module simulator a lot (which is super helpful) and went through many different scenarios based on the way I shoot (run n gun sports). I’m wondering what the turnaround time is when going from regular 1080 to 1080 center crop. Currently on my FS7 there is no one button option to go into the center crop mode. I need to dig through my menus to get into this mode, but I don’t need to restart the camera once I select it. On the LT is there a one button push option that I can map center crop to? My guess is no, but just want to be sure as some cams can do this and it mimics flipping the 2x extender on b4 lenses. Does the camera need to be restarted when switching to center crop (non slow motion)?
I read old articles that spoke of future FW updates that would ease some of the camera restart times and what changes would force restart, but I can’t find the subsequent articles detailing which changes were made. Also, when going from 1080 to 1080 120fps (maintaining AVC intra not getting into AVC LT) must the camera be restated as well? Thanks, and I’ll ask any other specific things in this thread to avoid starting a bunch of separate threads. I try to research a ton before posting anyway, but these are things that most reviewers won’t cover because they’re so specific to certain workflows.
