1080/50p external recorder

I was looking for an external video recorder for my (upcoming) Sony a7 (and for my existing D800) and guess what I found.
Even the expensive Odyssey7Q can't record 1080/50p via HDMI !!!
Please tell me, is this an HDMI specs limitation or is it a matter of recorder's features ?

hey guys, it MUST exist a 1080/50p HDMI recorder for Sony A7

from Wikipedia:

The maximum pixel clock rate for HDMI 1.0 was 165 MHz, which was sufficient to support 1080p and WUXGA (1920×1200) at 60 Hz

any news on this yet ?
my A7 is a great tool for filming without external monitor, just using its bright EVF.
What it does need is an external HDMI recorder at 1080/50p

CineDeck can do 1080 50P (SDI & HDMI i think), and they selling cheap on ebay now because of the 7Q's.

in their site, the only specs I can find is this: Cinedesck EX is discontinued.
This explains the price drop

It does do 50p 1080. I have the cinedeck, I know for sure.

I hope the new inexpensive Atomos Ninja Star will record 1080/50p out of HDMI
