Has anyone got some advice on 50i footage. I have 120 hours of Tibet scenery shot in 50i and it is not looking as crisp as it should.
Viewing it on the 30 inch apple display is not optimal - but there are blatant. Very noticeable.

I am going to output this to my HD monitor tomorrow - but my gut feeling is this footage is too compressed. I am looking to take away the "fields" but this is not going to help the resolution that much.

Please can anyone give me an idea on treatment for this. I am sorry that I do not have screen grabs here - but I am out of the studio now and need some advice from past experience from any DVXusers.......give me some pointers on where to start looking for a way to salvage this footage.....

Screen grabs to follow - just throw me a line on what my options are to optimize this interlaced footage.:dankk2:

The footage should look a lot better on an HDTV. Your 30 inch apple display unlikely to play back fields footage very well and running at 60Hz probably not doing any favours also.

Try playing directly out of the HVX via component to a 1080i HDTV. Good luck.

Christopher - you are the man!

This just proves that panick is when the senses hide - thanks for that advice will do that in the am. and report back the news. with some proof of pudding hopefully.
