1080/30p TimeLapse

That's the best in cam interval I believe. Looks fab, bro. Got to the love the progressive, right? Works really well... with the music. Who is it? I do warn you though.. that timelapses can be quite addictive as you can tell.... I'm waiting to do one when the weather clears down here. Hoping it stops raining as I can't do it until we have a real dry spell... so might be a while here in FL.

Next... we might have to try and figure out some tracking and panning timelapses.. with our without a motion control. I'd love to do some of that. My inital attempts have been pretty crappy. Any thoughts?

Thanks also for the props. Patrick... like so many people on here, you're aa super cool guy and glad to be a part of the community. Now, if I could only get some gigs from this community that were paying more than 100-150 a day... That's friggin' less than DV rates... less than I would get out of bed for.. Sorry venting and taking away from your glory.

Keep it up...!

Wonderful!

It would be great if you tell us your settings.
I will have an HVX in about two weeks and i'm
sure that timelapse will be one of my favourite ""subjects"".

Thanks a lot in advance!

Wow!!, this one looks great!!

I would ask for the settings but I don't have an HVX yet :~)

I am working on some timelapse footage with my Rebel XT.

...later

Looks pretty sweet.
Some of the shots were still hot but maybe that's the look you were going for.
A big improvement over the last version you showed us. Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes I use 5 second intervals but I got screwed on a great sunset once with 5 seconds. So now I'll do clouds at 5 second intervals sometimes but I always do sunsets at 2 second intervals.
The sun had just gone below the horizon and just a bit later all the clouds just ignited in red. It was incredible. But because I used a 5 second interval, it was over so quick it was unusable.

Wow! thanks so much for the kind remarks and corrective criticism.

Here are my settings and work flow:

1080/30p
F6 Cine V
Corning +2
Detail +3
Mater P. -4 thru -6

Shutter: 1/30

Now what I have noticed: You get a lot of play with the ND and Iris. You'll sure like the color differences you can make.

ONE IMPORTANT THING PEOPLE SOMETIME FORGET.

Take off the OIS. I have not made the mistake, but I have seen.. So when on tripod you dont use OIS...

N8ture: There was one shot I wanted bown 2 shot I wanted blown out.
Reason, Sometime I want a motion background but want it to stand out, and so the shot might provide a moving background and I can put text and it not compete with it. NOW I this is only my theory. If it is right, I have it, if not I only wasted 30mins, and I can play with is in Post. If I can do anyhting with it :)

I shot this amazing clips for 15 mins and then the sun came out and I panicked and dont want to ruin my HVX, but the rays were beautiful. I got maybe 2 seconds of footage. I am haivng issues with that clip.

I am starting to do some landmark shots. I am shoting against the Rockie Mountians, Coors Feild, Invesco Field and also Table Top Mountain.

You ever see him and his daughter on MTV for sweet 16, when he was just known as cee-lo green? So rediculous.

Mack, Nah I dont follow music to closely. I was joking about revolutionary, hence my smiley face, but seriously I was I like his jazzish, and gospel and experimental mixture. I will look for the Sweet16 episode.
