Hi everyone,
I'm new in the Avid world and I've got some question:

I use to shoot with my HPX at 1080p/24pA

My purpouse is to edit my footage and have a final result as a 1920x1080 24p format.

What are the steps?
Of course I know that avid can't remove pulldown itself so I bought Raylight MXFX 2.
I use it to remove pulldown only.

And after? What are the steps? What timeline do I have to use? (I eard 1080i 59,97i ?) And what about the export?

Thanks everyone who would try to help me,
and excuse me for my english.

That's what I tried,
But i've got a problem at the export,
It looks like it add pulldown to my footage.
when I launch the DNxHD (I tried other codec too) i've got stripes like if the
footage was interlaced.
It's really strange.
Thanks a lot.
Quentin.

Not at all,
and when I read the settings of my exported video (using quicktime) it says
DNcHD 1920x1080 23,976fps.

I feel like an idiot.

here are the steps that i do.

-Copy p2 card on my hard drive
-Use Raylight MXFX 2 and select " Remove pulldown 23,976 fps target "
-Create a new Avid Project 1080p 23,976
-When I import the P2 files (using AMA link to volume) I can see in text window that
it's a DVCPROHD 1080i/60i files (is it normal?)
-When I create a timeline with one of my clips, it's a 23,976fps timeline and I can see on the clips ( 1080i/60i (23,976fps) )
-Do my edit
-Export Quicktime (i'm a PC user, and i've tried AVI too with blackmagicdesign codec)
-And I got the strange stripes.

When you step through the clips in your project in full green'green mode, do you see frame blending or not?

I finally got it worked!

I need to use the Motion Effect Editor to each clips.
So for thoose who want to know what are the steps to edit DVCPROHD 1080p 24pA on AMC4 here are the steps:

1) Remove the Advanced Pulldown using Raylight MXFX2
2) Create a 1080p 23,796p Project in Avid Media Composer
3) Import your removed pulldown P2 footage
4) use Motion Effect Editor on each clips, click on PROMOTE, select BOTH FIELDS, Source : PROGRESSIVE, Output : PROGRESSIVE
5) Enjoy
Thanks everyone for your help!
