1080/24pa footage, not supported?

So I read how the 1080/24pa mode isn't yet supported by Final Cut Pro. I did some shooting yesterday in that mode, imported via P2 and the clips played back fine; or course in the properties it showed the clip playback speed at 29.97 and it had to be played in a 1080i 60 sequence. How is this affecting the original footage that was aquired in 1080/24pa mode?

I guess my real question is, 'when I'm watching this footage playback on my monitor, what am I actually seeing? The 1080/24pa footage from the HVX... or 29.97 1080i footage converted somehow in FCP?

Secondly, do Avid, Vegas and other NLEs have support yet for the 1080/24pa mode?

Rayight (http://dvfilm.com/raylight) supports it, and will remove advanced pulldown from the DV and DVCPRO50 formats as well.

As far as I know Avid and the others do not, in the sense that they will not remove the pulldown when it is brought into a 24P timeline.
