Im sooo confused... DVX100b... CANON XL2.... CANON XHA1.... AHHRGG!!

Okay.. I know it's hard to compare.. HD to SD..

But all in all, what would you personally buy?

I'm looking for a real cinematic looking camera, which I know the DVX delivers, but I'm just not sure about the other cameras.

Opinions would helpful... thanks.

I love the panasonic but just sold it to buy the canon XH A1.
why? lust, envy, status......
no but really, the DVX still kills it.
it's all a matter of what you're looking for. keep in mind that editing and capturing HDV off the XH A1 will require more time and funds. see the entire picture.

Okay. Thanks for the info... I was always leaning more towards a DVX than anything else, but Mike Krumlauf (Four Eyed Monsters) says the XL2 is wayyy better than a DVX because of all the manual features...

But from the footage that I've seen, the XL2 looks like pro video, and the DVX looks more like film.

I am constantly going for a filmic look, so I think I might lean more towards a DVX then save up for a professional lighting kit with the money I save.

Thanks again,

Colin

This isn't to start a debate at all, but all along on these boards people say the DVX has a mojo that no other camera can touch. I would agree with them.

And don't be fooled. The DVX is the most manual capable camera in it's class.
